Stay in a land of history

Nestled in nature, the village of La Celle and its superb 12th-century abbey backing on to the Hostellerie, truly deserve a visit.

Typical narrow streets and squares await you along with exhibitions in this history-laden place, your change of scenery begins as soon as you arrive at the Hostellerie. 

A few kilometres away, Brignoles takes you back in time to the region's history when you visit the Musée des Comtes de Provence. Take the time to stroll in the town centre, its pleasant squares and colourful Provençal market.

Twenty or so kilometres away, you will find the must-see Basilica of Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, in the heart of the village of the same name.

An important place of pilgrimage, this 13th-century building is a prime example of Gothic art, and the largest in Provence.
